VBS

This week is Vacation Bible School at church and I'm teaching my 2 year olds. I LOVE this age, they are too sweet and do whatever it is you need them to do! ha... they aren't like my 6 and 4 year old who have a mind of their own now and they tell me what they want ME doing.. :)

Will lately has been very upset about me leaving him. He will be 7 in November and y'all it has had me SO upset. Anytime I am going somewhere he can't go, it consumes my mind as to how he is feeling. See, Will is my child that I worry a lot about, not that I don't worry about Luke, but Luke has the personality that he can take care of himself, he doesn't seem to require much attention from us. So Will on the other hand, I just worry about his feelings, his heart (hoping it's not hurting), other kids and him making friends and getting along with other kids. This week I VBS, I have prayed for a long time for God to heal his breaking heart and for Him to show himself and his love to Will through sweet Christian children. Will is having a blast at VBS and this makes my heart SO happy!!!!! He does get upset when I drop him off but he is so darn happy the whole time and comes running to my classroom when he's done! THANK YOU LORD FOR ANSWERING MY PRAYERS!!! I pray this week will help him from here on out!

Hope y'all are having a great week so far! I can't believe tomorrow is already Tuesday! WOW this week is going by so fast! I have a great picture post coming up, have a blessed night!

Four years ago today...

On July 19, 2006 my angel boy Steven "Luke" Clements was born via planned c~section at 4:53pm. He was the most beautiful brown eyed, brown haired baby I had ever laid my eyes on. On that day four years ago I never knew how much he would change our lives, but he instantly made a special boy named Will a big brother! Luke no matter how old you are, you will always be my baby. You are so big now and you keep us laughing. We love you so much! Our lives would not be complete without you in it. When you are calling for Will, you don't say his name but say "broder" it makes my heart melt in pieces hearing that come out of your beautiful mouth. I remember the night you were born, Daddy and I stayed up all night just looking at you, we cried together, prayed together, prayed for your life and thanking God for giving us another healthy child, those are memories I will never forget with you Luke! You are an amazing child, I love you so much! Happy Birthday baby boy!!!

Here's a video of his first cry... he's a c~section baby and he was having breathing problems when he was born, so at the end they are putting oxygen over his face.... oh it's the sweetest video ever!!! (I hope it works!)

Weekend Recap!

Thursday morning my day started off to normal, dropped the boys off at church camp, then headed into work for a few hours. I have a sales class every Thursday from 11:30 am til 1pm. I left the office and headed that way but little did I know it would be a weird ride. At each red light I noticed my car was shaking and acting like it was about to die. I called the hubs (who was at work) to tell him what was going on with my car, when I would go my car acted like it did not have much power to go real fast, so I just slowly made my way to the meeting. Once I got there, I parked at the last parking spot in the row because I didn't know what would happen when I tried to crank it, to leave after the meeting. My car would not start, so a co worker came over to help me get it cranked, when it did crank, the smell of gas fumes was so bad and it was still running very rough... I knew something bad has happened and I got it to my hubs work, Thank God I made it! We took it to the shop, thinking something horrible had happened and would need to be fixed, thankfully it was something minor and just needed a new fuel injector, so Friday afternoon we picked it up to start the weekend... the title of this blog should be "if it's not one thing going on, it's a million" because our life lately is full of crazy times!

Yesterday I took the boys to a local sprinkler park, again I forgot my camera. We had a good time with our church family there, it was too much fun!

A good friend of mine lost her father yesterday to cancer, my heart and prayers go out to the Cook family, if you would please say a prayer for them, even though he had cancer and has for a year now, it's still hard, the doctors told them recently he was on the road to recovery and something turned bad this week and he lost his fight. God is in control and Mr. Cook is in such a better place than we are for sure!!!!

We are enjoying a lazy, wonderful Sunday afternoon after church this morning. I hope you all are enjoying your weekend and have a blessed week!!

Things I want to do...

I am the kind of person that has SO many ideas of what I want to do with my house, but I have NEVER accomplished all of them.... there is still so much I want to do, I do not even know where to begin!!! So maybe if I write down a list of what I want to do, it will get done, so here's my list!!!

1. Paint my master bedroom (which is currently a sage green color) a chocolate brown, I think white bedding, dark furniture and brown and cream walls will look DELICIOUS!!!!!

2. Paint master bath (I have had this color for years now, just been lazy about getting it done)

3. Repaint rod iron bed white to go into guest bedroom (needs a new coat of paint)

4. Redo boys bathroom (get rid of the rubber ducky, kid look) going for a adult look

5. Finally get my bamboo shades put up in my kitchen (I've had them for awhile now too)

6. Get drapes made for living room

7. Stain kitchen table, I think black, still negotiating with the hubs on this one

8. Stain concrete in my whole house besides the bedrooms, I want to keep carpet in those bedrooms

9. Re tile the bathrooms and fireplace

10. Repaint the garage

These are the things I can think of right now that I would love to snap my fingers and be done with... so in I will keep y'all informed as to what we do and when we do it and show y'all before and after pictures... it should be exciting, for me atleast :)

(#8-10 will be done last, the rest is very inexpensive!)

Oh what a day....

I have no idea why this picture is so blurry on here, but this is a lady that will be missed by SO many in the Memphis area. She is Sherri Sawyer, today she went to be with the Lord! Even though for some time now we had expected this day to come, it still hurts so bad! She fought cancer off and on since 1992, she was a true warrior! She hired my Mom in the radio business and she has known me since I was 3, she then hired me back a few years ago at a local radio station and just a few months ago I had to give her my resignation. We have kept in touch since then because she understood my situation and she was the #1 supporter of me!!!! She will be truly missed and she is the strongest person I have ever known! May God Bless the Sawyer family, a little piece of Memphis went to be with the Lord today!!!!

On another sad note, today was the day I was to take my big exam for my license. I didn't do too bad, but not as good to pass :( I knew I was going to do so well, I got a 93 on the practice test this morning, then got in there and NOTHING I studied was on the test, I have been so upset all afternoon, but I'm not the only one who failed and it just means I have to take it again, no big deal!!!

Tomorrow is the hubs birthday, therefore it is a happy day and we get to spend it with wonderful family and I think my Mom is coming in town this weekend, even better!!! Y'all have a great Friday!

Our busy but fun 4 day weekend!

My Dad grew up on this beautiful lake and home in a small town in Georgia. Well it's not so small anymore, but the area and home are just so beautiful and relaxing. The 4th of July has always been a big deal in our family and we try as much as possible to spend it together. This year was the first time in years that all of the grandkids (and our kids now) and all of the aunts and uncles all made a point to be together. It was such a great time and above is a picture of the whole family with all of the new kids. It seems there are so many little ones running around now, it's so much fun!!!!

Here's Uncle Brandon (my brother) playing football with Will, this was the sport of the weekend, everyone played all weekend long :) We are big SEC football fans, down there it's Georgia Bulldog fans, but on my hubs side of the family it's Ole Miss fans, but the boys are being raised to love both!

My Dad with his Grandboys

My Mom and her babies :) My Mom lives down there now, so it was so nice being with both my Dad and Mom's side of the family, not all at the same time but all in one weekend!

Me and my love, I could not of made that quick trip without him!!! He's my love and yesterday when we were leaving, Will broke down before getting in the car, we were sad all morning before leaving and he just could not keep it in longer. So we had to leave and he was crying, then I started crying when we were leaving so the hubs started crying too... it was a sad moment, but we all got over it and were ready to get back home! We do miss my family so much but we had such a wonderful time, it was a blessing to be able to go!!!

Y'all have a terrific Tuesday!!!!
