Craziness...Craziness

Well, we ended up NOT going to Oklahoma with my dearest friend. I know that's crazy, right?!?! We had some major turn of events that made me make the decision at the very end to not go there, due to something else happening. My Great Aunt is not doing well, I got the phone call last Wednesday, so I did not feel the need to drive the opposite direction incase something happened to her and we still aren't sure how that will pan out.
Last week our computer at home caught some virus, so I have been out of the internet at home and that is normally when I do all of my blogging and catching up with my internet peeps. Needless to say, the past two days I have been mighty busy catching up and seeing what all I missed.
Oh do I have a story for you... We took the boys to this sprinkler park over the weekend. I just knew they would have a ball and just play for hours. They did play, but after about 30 minutes, they were ready to go to the regular park. I was getting so mad at them... ha, because Mommy wanted to catch some rays. While we were sitting there eating our snack, Luke went to get the beach ball that we took because it blew away and before I knew it he was gone. I thought I had my eye on him the whole time, but it must of been another child. This sounds crazy I know, but there are about 50 kids, all running around having a blast. So, the whole time I am keeping my eye on both boys, but heck I look down for one minute to get something out of the bag and I lost my sight of Luke. Well we searched for 10 minutes for my child. I was about to pick up the phone and call 911 as I was checking the last place in the park which was the bathroom. There that little brown eyed and brown haired boy stood. We searched the soccer fields, the "regualar" park, the whole sprinkler park, the walking trail around the lake... and then I finally said I will go check the bathroom before I get the police involved. I mean ladies, this is a women's worst nightmare, losing a child, especially under my care. Oh my, it took all day for my heartbeat to get back to normal and it still terrifies me! I wanted to have Luke's bday party there but now I'm not so sure, what if we lose one of the kids at the party, I would never be able to forgive myself.
So, we will have to see about that, but I'm so thankful, I mean just so thankful that we found him, he was fine and no one touched him! He had a accident in his new swim trunks which he was so upset about, but atleast he was safe and sound. Can you believe that no one helped him get in the bathroom door though, I saw all of these ladies walking in and out and not one helped him. Ugh, what is this world coming too??? OH AND YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE THIS, AS I'M FRANTICALLY TRYING TO FIND MY SON, SCREAMING HIS NAME, NOT ONE PERSON ASK IF THEY CAN HELP... NOT ONE PERSON!!!! We had already been there for awhile, the boys have played with other kids, and not one ignorant person came up to ask if I needed help. In my opinion, if I saw some lady looking for her child, I would help in anyway that I can... this tells me something must be wrong, seriously wrong with the world these days!!!!
All in all we had a great weekend though and I hope and pray all of you did as well! I'm sorry I have no pics today, I will post more later in the week!

Sorry to hear about your Great Aunt. :(

That had to be so horrible not knowing where your son had gone. I am glad to hear everything was fine and he was fine. Scary!!

I know you were freaking out! A few weeks ago me and one of my bf's were at the park with Presley and her two daughters, and the same thing happened with her oldest one...and the park was super small...so dont feel bad! But we were both a nervous wreck. It scares me to think about stuff like that! Sorry you missed out on your vacay...hope you aunt gets better!
