Wishful Wednesday!!!

I WISH.... I had a pet to talk about :) I still wanted to join in on the fun, and I will share with y'all the dreams we have of owning a animal one day!

Currently we live in a "starter" home I guess you could say. It's just your normal 3 bedroom, 2 bath home. We already have 2 boys and are looking at expanding our family soon, so adding an animal into the mix actually scares me! I am extremely OCD about my house and I get sweaty talking about having cat or dog hair inside my house. But, I am a cat person, I grew up always having a cat. We had a cat named Sam for 16 years, he was the best cat, so laid back, didn't have a care in the world!! He died about 10 years ago and actually I was at Momma's house a few days ago, she was going through old boxes and found a little box that she kept of some of Sam's things. (this cat was literally part of our fam) She had a baggy of Sam's hair, I opened it and it was still so soft and you could still smell Sam on the hair. It brought tears to my eyes!

My hubby on the other hand wants a German Shephard. He wants a big dog and a dog that is good with kids and family and that will protect us if something bad was to ever go down...?!?! :) So, I told him I would be more than happy to get a German Shephard, once we have a bigger home and yard. BUT, when he gets his dog, I get my cat :) I did tell him to go get me a kitty since I have baby fever, that might hold me over for awhile, he didn't go for that though, so we shall see!

I hope y'all had a wonderful Wednesday! I sure did and I'm just so grateful for each and every one of you! I hope you have a blessed rest of the week!

Love y'all!

Oh Boys.. Oh Lord...

This weekend so far has been a very normal, fun, relaxing weekend! I did my usual: clean house, put the kiddos outside so I could get stuff done and turn on some tunes to enjoy my time!!!
Shortly after the boys had been outside playing, Will comes running in the house screaming
"Mom, me and Luke have been playing with this frog, he "was" hopping like this (he goes on to show my how the frog "was" hopping) and then he was just so little and cute I just had to step on him, Mommy please don't be upset".... Y'all, my initial reaction was " YOU DID WHAT?? WILL how in the world would you like this really tall kid to come up to you and stepped on you just because you were so little and cute... please don't step on anymore frogs, they are nice and the next time you see one, don't step on them, just hop along with them"
I got my fall decor out of the attic today too... Outside is done so now I'm working on the inside. I was at Wal-Mart earlier and saw some things that I really wanted to get, but I have so much fall decor... If I came home with anything else having to do with halloween or fall, my hubs would probably make me take it back :) BUT, the boys LOVE decorating with me! This year was the first year that I let them help me, they were on cloud 9 and enjoyed it SO much! I feel bad now for not allowing them to help more often, it will definitely be a more frequent thing around this house.
Tonight, Will and Daddy practiced Will's football skills. That is Will's latest "thing", he wants so badly to be a football player. It tickled my heart to see my hubby out there with his eldest son, thowing the football. When you have kids, especially boys, this is something Daddy's look forward too. John finally has a boy, old enough to throw the ball with... it's so sweet and Daddy has not stopped talking about it tonight, it must of made him feel just as good as it did Will :)
So, I hope you ALL are enjoying time with your family this early fall weekend!
God Bless and Love Y'all!

Wishful Wednesdays : Jobs

I got this idea from the Pair family and I thought it was just too cute, to not do!!!
"I wish" I could make a million bucks staying home with my babies and have more babies!!!
I honestly feel God put me on this earth to be a Mommy. I am so truly blessed to have the babies I have now, but it if were up to me and there were no money issues, I would have a few more!!! Atleast 2 more, which yes, would make a total of 4 kiddos! I LOVE them, my kids are my life and there is nothing more that I would like to do more than take care of my kids and my husband and that be my job. As a working Mom, there's so much pressure, or for me there is because I hold lots of guilt. Yes I was raised in a home that my Mom and Dad both worked, but that's not how I tick... it's something I deal with on a daily basis! I think God blessed me with as well is a hubby who believes the same thing, it's just right now not something we can do!
So all I know to do is pray. Pray that there is a reason God placed this in my heart and wait for His will to come to play! At this point, I'm completely content with my life right now because I'm able to juggle everything like most working mothers do! Yes my life is tons more busy, but you just deal with it and take it day by day! I might not sit down and spend time with my hubby until much later each night just because I'm so busy getting things cleaned and together for the next day, but we deal with it all together!!! God is truly amazing, He has blessed our family so much and all I do is Praise Him!!!
This was super fun and I hope you can play along :)
Katie

My heart Aches...

Please, please, please pray with all of your heart for this family! The Sullivan's need our prayers right now! The mother was diagnosed with breast cancer while pregnant, they had to deliver the baby via c-section. While they were just home with the baby, enjoying those miraculous moments that you share as a new family, she suffered many seizures. It's not good, she has gone Home now and her husband is now left to raise a brand new baby while just losing his wife. It's such a horrific and unimaginable situation! His FAITH seems to be amazing, please follow this blog and lift him and his family up in prayers!!!
Through all of this God is still Good!!!
Count your blessings!!!
Love y'all!

I guess I could call it a funk...

Hey ladies... please forgive me for the time off I have taken from blogging. Like I said last week, I have been in a funk, I felt myself over come that this last weekend though because I got SO much stuff done in my house. (I'm talking a major "fall" cleaning, I even cleaned out both boys closets and took out everything that they can't wear and changed it with some fall/winter new clothes that I have been meaning to get in their closets) Oh, what a joyous feeling it is my friends!!! I have not been a funk at home, just on the internet and blogging (and work too). I actually have enjoyed some quality time with my 3 most favorite men in my life, so I guess you could say God Blessed me with some much needed rest! :)
Today, Luke got sick at school. A few weeks ago Will was sick, so we all have been passing something around. He has a super high 103.4 fever today, I treated it with tylenol and called the doctor, he said for me to treat it at home and if he still has it on Wednesday to come in the office. Please pray he is better by then, I hate to see my babies sick, I wish I could be sick for them!!! The Hubs and I both tonight are looking at each other and not feeling the best either. I hope we can make it to bed early tonight and all we need is some much needed rest!! I hope y'all have had a blessed Monday, I promise to have a slam dunk post soon!
Please pray that things God has placed in my heart come true in His timing, I'm a firm believer that He places things in our hearts for a reason! Some different things keep coming up in our lives and all I know to do is pray and wait for Him to show me the way!!! God is amazing, He has done amazing things around my household lately. One of them being that my marriage is the strongest it has ever been, God is so good! I feel that I've always had a pretty strong marriage, but things the past month have just clicked really well, I'm in love with my little family more than I ever have felt it before! (ok.. enough of my mushy talk, but seriously ladies.... I can't say enough how much I love Jesus Christ!!!! He's amazing and he does miracles!!! )

HAPPY MONDAY!!

HAPPY MONDAY Y'all!!!
I'm super happy it is another week, but also super stressed. Please say a few prayers for me, it's nothing major, but just a lot of things happening all at one time which is making it a little overwhelming!
Anywho...last week my babies were sick. We all kind of felt under the weather... so we did a lot of this... (which if you ask me, I could just sit on the floor for hours playing trains with my two favorite little boys.... they are so serious about their trains )

Then this last weekend, Momma and I took the boys to the Germantown Festival. It has been a family tradition to go every year since I was a little girl. I grew up in Germantown so each time I go, it brings back so many wonderful memories and I am happy to pass them down to the boys! This corn dog looks pretty darn good and Will thought so too!!

Momma enjoyed her popcorn (she's going to kill me for putting this pic up of her, but she's still so beautiful!)

Of all times to play on the playgroud, the boys just had too... so of course I had to snap a few pics of them looking so sweet on the slide :)

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend, we sure did!! They go by so fast though! My Dad actually came in town Saturday night and left this morning... the boys enjoyed seeing their "Pop Pop" and so did we!!!
Love y'all... Katie

50th Post... WHOOP WHOOP :)

Yes Mam, you read it right.... this is my 50th post!!! I never knew in a million years that I would be on facebook & myspace... much less blogging to the world, but this has brought me such wonderful people to my life and I thank you all so much!! Y'all are part of my family and I feel like I know each and every one of you so well!! I was always the girl who said it was so "whatever" to be on all of these social websites, little did I know it was such a blessing and I feel priviledged to share my life and my love of the LORD to all of you wonderful ladies!!!
Now let's get to the labor day weekend... It was such a good one. Luke and Daddy didn't feel the best all weekend, but we still tried to make the best of it!! OLE MISS did get their act together and won the game...(WHEW, I was getting worried about being in this house another day with my hubby if Ole Miss lost) :) The joke of the weekend was that I seriously ate ALL weekend long. I did not stop eating, it was like I had a tapeworm or something in my tummy. I mean, John finally asked (in a funny, nice way of course) if he needed to put a lock on the pantry door. HA! I can't believe I just admitted this to y'all, but I was getting worried for myself...
Below is a pic of the steak we had Saturday night.... I made spaghetti Friday night, Sunday night had tacos, after eating hamburgers for lunch on Sunday and then Monday morning I made breakfast for the family and Monday night we did pork chops. It was oh so yummy, like I starved myself all summer and I'm making up for it, but this week I'm definitely back on my diet :)

This is my beautiful Momma holding Lukie while we are grilling out Saturday night....

Luke being his little monkey self :)

my other monkey :)...

Will sporting his Ole Miss jersey.... he said that his "new ole miss jersey must of come from new jersey", then said "Mommy have you ever been to New Jersey to see all of the "new jerseys".... "No baby, I have not ever been there :) "

Oh and we can't forget Luke in his jersey...he had to wear Will's, even though they had matching "new jerseys" but oh well, he's proud of himself :)

He and his MiMi on the riding lawn mower.... he has to do this every time we visit :)

I hope you all enjoyed your time with the people you love the most this weekend. It is back to the grind this week, but atleast it's a short week :)
I will leave you all with this verse that touched me this morning.... love you all!!!
"The LOVE of money is the root of all evil" 1st Timothy 6:10
P.S. that goes in conjunction to my Dave Ramsey reading I am doing...oh God is Good!!!

IT'S FOOTBALL TIME MY FRIENDS!!!

Y'all this is by far the best time of the year!!! SEC College football is hands down, the best thing to watch! Us Southern Girls (and GUYS) look forward to FOOTBALL each year! As most of you know, I'm a Georgia Girl! Born in Georgia and most of my family still living in Georgia, my blood runs red for the Georgia Bulldogs!! I remember as a little girl, my Daddy taking me to the games with him and the WHOLE family, I always wore my little cheerleading uniform and just had a ball. From that point on, I've always enjoyed SEC College Football, who wouldn't with all of the tradition and fun?!?!
Below is a picture that my Daddy took last year when he went to a Georgia game of Sanford stadium! The campus in Athens, GA is so beautiful and has so much tradition and heritage every where you walk! Here's my chant...IT'S GREAT...TO BE... A G-E-O-R-G-I-A B-U-L-L-D-O-G, I SAID IT'S GREAT... TO BE... A GEORGIA BULLDOG :) GO DAWGS!!!!

Since I did grow up here in Tennessee most of my life, I'm very familiar to Ole Miss. I never imagined marrying someone who absolutely eats, sleeps and breaths Ole Miss football!! He could tell you every statistic there EVER was for Ole Miss. Below is a picture of Vault Hemingway Stadium, which is also a beautiful campus and stadium!! Most of our relationship we have had season tickets to the games down in Oxford, MS. (actually, that is how I knew my hubby was really into me when he asked if I wanted a season ticket with him that year, it was in the 2002-2003 season!)

This picture was taken right after Will was born, at one of the games. John's not too fond of this picture but I love it so I just had to put it up! Yes, those are head phones on his head, not only does he watch the game live (just a few feet away) he also listens on his head phones to what the announcers are saying about each play. Serious business people!!! :)

This is what we see at each game... the end zone :)

Oh yes, and we can't miss the pom girls... thanks hunny, I knew I could find a picture of either cheerleaders or pom girls :)

I hope you all enjoyed a little history of what teams we follow here at Clementsville. If it was up to my Dad, Will and Luke would be 100% DAWG fans. Don't get my wrong, they do pull for Georgia when they are NOT playing Ole Miss, but they have been bread to love Ole Miss football, they are just as excited about the new season as we are!!!
Love you all and enjoy this weekend! HAPPY LABOR DAY!!!

brotherly love

Brotherly love is something that I never thought I would know so well! One minute it is a knock down drag out... the next it is kisses or patting each other on the head. Emotions in this house are constantly up and down, I think that is just part of having boys, but I would not trade it for anything! The other night, Daddy was grilling our dinner out back, so I just laid in the yard and told the boys to ignore Mommy and continue chasing each other, throwing grass at each other and trying to tackle each other.... I'll just try to capture each moment :)
Below are the pics I got from that night, I hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed watching them! It was too much fun!!

A love moment...

My little ham....

I LOVE the look on Luke's face, I think Will in this picture was trying to kick the ball right at Luke... not in a nice way though :)

Luke must of done something to upset him :)

Now Will is fighting back trying to tackle Luke....

Luke deciding to throw the ball right at his "Bubba"

Gotta get as far away from Will as possible....

And yes, that is grass in Luke's hand...
Like I said, there's nothing more fun to watch than BROTHERLY LOVE!!!
