Feeding the Ducks

Today when we got home from preschool & work, it was raining (finally)... but yesterday it was beautiful. I try to go walking every afternoon and Will rides his bike while Lukie is either in the stroller or wagon. If Daddy is home he will tag along as well. If we have bread at the house then we will feed the geese (Will always corrects us that it's geese instead of ducks.... ha!) Below are some pics of the boys feeding the "geese" yesterday, they come pretty close and they LOVE Luke for some reason :) It's precious and so much fun!

My Loves! (trying not to eat the bread) LOL

Will Cheesn' for me!

Lukie Cheesn'

Not sure if you can see Luke's cheek full of bread or not, but he had to make sure it taste right for the goose before sharing!

A few thoughts....

Good Morning all my ladies!!!
I had a few things on my mind and just wanted to chat. First, I'm having the hardest time to figure out what I'm going to do with the boys this summer :( It's coming up soon and I don't have the slightest idea what I'm going to do. I would ideally like to have a high school or college girl, looking to make some extra money, come to the house and keep the boys a few days a week. So, if anyone of you know someone who might be interested... let me know!! They must be reliable, smart, (you know, someone you would trust with your little angels) I need to get this figured out soon, I'm thinking about calling the church today to see if they have people they recommend. They might?? That's just an idea! This is such a stress... and I guess as long as I work full~time, this is something I will have to deal with until they are in college... UGH!!!

Last night we went to Ms. Patti's retirement party. Ms. Patti has been Will's teacher and is the director of the Mother's Day out he's been going to since he was 1. Now Luke is there and I LOVE it! Will goes to kindergarten next year, so he won't be there, but there's no place I would rather Lukie be then there. We had the worst time when Will was a baby finding the right place for us all... it was always either, Will screaming all day (literally) b/c he hated whoever kept him or me just not having a good feeling about whoever is keeping him, so he went around to a few places and I thought I would never find a good place. Then I found Ms. Patti, ladies, she is amazing! I swear to you Will never cried one time and we have not looked back since. Cordova Presbyterian will still be around with there Mother's Day Out program, but Ms. Patti is retiring to spend more time with her new Grandbaby! She's been so wonderful and it was nice last night seeing people I haven't seen in awhile and showing how grateful I am to Ms. Patti. (I just wish she would keep my kids during the summer break...ha!)

Y'all have a great day!

Springtime FUN!

I know it's been awhile, or atleast to me it seems like awhile since I last posted... but it's been busy here around Clementsville. My family was in town last week, so this past weekend we enjoyed some good quality time with our little family (but we LOVE having family in town anytime)! Friday night the boys and I did our Friday night routine by going to the neighborhood playgroup (yes I know it's hard to believe that I would be doing that on a Friday night), but it's something the boys and I both look forward too! I enjoy the "Mommy talk" and the boys play until they just can't play anymore!!! We have the best group of friends and we all try to take care of each other!

Saturday I sat outside while the boys played and Daddy cut the yard. It was one of the most beautiful days we've had in so long! It was beautiful and I even got a little sunburn.... oh it was so nice!! Then we planted some flowers and made the house look a little bit better. Daddy had a bug up his "booty" because he made our backyard look the best it's looked since we moved in (that's 5 years ago)! He started cutting the bushes and just didn't stop, it all looks so wonderful and refreshed! Sunday we made our 1st veggie/fruit garden. I have never tried this but thought well this year would be the 1st and maybe the last :) I hope not, but I'm just not a gardener... or atleast I haven't found that part of myself yet! So, I'll be sure to let you all know how the tomatoes, spinach, parsley, squash and watermelon turn out.... Surely out of all of those seeds something will come up!?!?

Sorry, no pictures for this post.... but I will get some updated ones soon!

Love y'all!

My Heart Aches

My heart aches at this moment for a dear cousin of mine! My cousin Tracy and her husband Stuart have tried many, many times to have a child of their own. They decided to adopt a sweet baby girl they named Millie, they were there when she was born and ready to get everything finalized to bring her home to her new, loving family! The birthfather has come out to say he wants Millie now and there's nothing they can do about it, they are returning home on Saturday without Millie. My stomach hurts and my heart aches for their pain, I just can not imagine the heart ache and pain they are going through. I ask you all to please, please keep them in your prayers. If not them, for little Miss Millie. She needs prays for herself, I pray she is going to a loving, Christian home. I know God has His hands on this situation but it's oh so hard to understand this, they are such wonderful people and want a baby so badly in their home! Tracy and Stuart, if you ever read this, know that everyone that reads this says a little prayer for you both and little Miss Millie! I also ask you all to pray for the child God has in mind for them, please Lord just keep your hand on that child and protect him. Protect this child or unborn child from any harm, until they are in the loving, Christian arms of Tracy and Stuart! God has a plan and everything is in His timing! He is in control!!!

Now, before I even heard about this horrific news, I was in my car riding back to the office to wrap up some business. I was tuning into the radio, when I heard Miley Cyrus' new song "The Climb"... I'm not a huge fan of Miley Cyrus or of Hannaha Montana (or whoever she calls herself) but the lyrics to this song are so very true to everyone that reads this! I was thinking of different situations in my life and it's so true, no matter what anyone is going through "There's always going to be a uphill climb" So below I attached the lyrics, in so many ways... it's wonderful, encouraging words!

The Climb by Miley Cyrus
I can almost see it
That dream I am dreaming
But there's a voice inside my head saying
"You'll never reach it"
Every step I'm taking
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking
But I gotta keep trying
Gotta keep my head held high
There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna want to make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about fast I get there
Ain't about whats waiting on the other side
It's the climb
The stuggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometims might knock me down
But no, I'm not breaking
I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm gonna remember most, yeah
Just gotta keep going
And I, I got to be strong
Just keep pushing on
'Cause there's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna want to make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb
Keep on moving, keep climbing
Keep the faith, baby
It's all about, it's all about the climb
keep the faith, keep your faith!
Now for me personally, this reminds me of my job. When I first started it was very difficult. It still can be at times, but I had to make the decision to take the climb. Keep moving forward and it all has worked out! God is the most AMAZING God, He love us so much! Tracy and Stuart, I love you so much, my heart is hurting for you both right now. I know the Lord has his big arms right around you and He will bring you strength to get through these times! Little Miss Millie, you will always be my "second cousin" and I will always pray for you!
Love you all!

This past weekend was a blast from the past!! Friday afternoon my Dad came in town to visit with us and the boys. We just ate really good food and enjoyed each others company! It's always so nice to spend time with him and the boys just LOVE it as well! He currently lives in Clearwater, FL... it sure is convienant having my Dad live SO close to the beach, but we miss him dearly! As most of you know, my family (besides my Mom) lives all over this country, so when we are together, we really do try to enjoy every minute of it! Sunday my brother Brandon came in town and will be visiting until Thursday! He and I are so close, we have not always been, but I don't know where I would be without him. I love these men so much and I'm so, so proud of the person they have become. Sunday night we went to Mom's to have dinner, with everyone. Yep, my parents are divorced, but they have always had such a mature relationship or friendship shall I say.... We all were able to be together as a family and have dinner last night. It was so nice, a great gift and a BLAST FROM THE PAST!!!

Sadly, Dad had to go back home this morning, but we still have Brandon to bother until Thursday. The boys can't wait to get up in the mornings to head over to "DeeDee's" to see Uncle Brandon. As you can see below, they have a ball together

Uncle Brandon, Will & Lukie being silly for the camera!!!! I LOVE these boys!

Brandon and Dad...LOVE them!!!

Our family... Lukie is being silly as always, I have NO makeup on and there's Daddy and Will be adorable as ever!!! I love MY family!!!

I have lots to blog about and pick your brain, but tonight I've got to catch up on some zzzz's, I hope everyone is having a blessed week! GOD IS GOOD! Praise Him and Love Him in every Moment!

Such a beautiful family filled weekend!!!

This was their faces the whole day in each picture, Lukie was just not happy about taking pictures! This year we didn't even get a family picture, that's ok, we are getting family portraits made in a few weeks, so they won't have a choice :)

This is a little bit better, at church in front of Mommy's favorite tree.... Japanese Maple!

Luke and Will with the Easter Bunny on Saturday. Will was kind of like "whatever" but Luke was hilarious. When he gets excited, he studdards. The doctor says it's normal because his mind is going faster than his mouth can move... but the whole time he kept real still, waving at the Easter Bunny saying "H,H,H,H-EEEYYY, EAYER BUNNY" Over and over again! It was precious, it brought tears to my eyes because watching him with the Easter Bunny, in his eyes this big bunny is real... just priceless!!!
One more thought for you Mommies.... I know growing up we believed in the Easter Bunny and yes, we got a basket full of candy. These days, it's about getting presents and stuff. In away (and this is my opinion) it bothers me that we even make our kids believe in the Easter Bunny. Yes, it's cute and this big bunny comes in and drops off a basket. But come on, I didn't even want my kids to believe in the Easter Bunny until everyone kept asking if they were excited about it coming. This is the first year for Will to really remember things, so I told him about the Easter Bunny and went along with the ride, but it wasn't really discussed a whole lot. They got up Sunday and yes, they had baskets with candy and a few toys, nothing too major! I guess my point to this is that Easter is about our Christ who gave up His life for us to be saved, not about this silly big (in my opinion, scary) bunny coming in your house dropping off a basket! Santa is much more believeable to me than a big Easter Bunny.... but we did go along with it, when I had to answer all of Will's questions about how the Easter Bunny gets here and how he gets in the house, I was so close to saying it was all fake... but I didn't and he is completely sold on the Easter Bunny, he sure was thanking him when he saw his basket! I could be just totally irrational about this, but Santa is a person (supposively), that's believeable, but a huge bunny that is as tall as Daddy hopping along the street....WEIRD!!! It is still fun though and I hope I didn't offend anyone, these are just my opinions and give me your thoughts!
Sunday we went to church that morning then went to John's parent house for lunch. As most of you know, we go to Hope Presbyterian for church. I'm going to be honest with you... I LOVE Hope and every time I leave, I feel so good and I feel like Craig has just spoke right to me. Which I really know that is God speaking to me. But lately, John and I have been discussing if Hope is too big for us. We like Hope a lot and hate to even begin to think about another place we would want to go, but it's something that I have been thinking about and I'm a firm believer that when God puts something on your heart and mind, you must investigate it and try to figure out what it is that He's trying to tell you! Well, the Easter Service at Hope this weekend really summed it up for us, it was by far the most emotional, amazing ceremony we have ever experienced! It was unbelievable and I'm so proud to be part of a church that is full of HOPE and God's GRACE! I think God spoke to me and said "You are right where I want you to be" I pray that is what he is telling me, I feel it in my heart and I feel that no matter how I feel about how big the church has become, it does not matter when I leave there feeling the GRACE of God's words spoken right to me! Easter is my second most favorite day of the year, beside Christmas which is the birth of Christ! This was just such a great weekend and I'm truly blessed by an amazing GOD, family and life!!!
Sorry this is so long tonight, I had lots to talk about and discuss! Hope everyones week is going good!

Spring Time Fever!

I tell you what... there's nothing like Spring! I LOVE it and to me it is the best time of the year! There's a few things I dislike though, like sickness and the weather not making up its mind! Poor Luke has been fighting something for two weeks now, first it was stomach problems, then ear infection & sinus infection, now he has this horrible chest cold but I really think it's from his sinus/allergies draining into his chest. Whatever it is makes him miserable and hopefully soon he will be back to his adorable, funny self!

I have definitely been enjoying my spring cleaning. Each day this week after work, we have been so productive! It really makes me feel good and allows me to have more time on the weekends to be with my angels instead of cleaning. We have so many things we want to accomplish and do you ever feel like it all has to be done right now? PATIENCE is something I don't think I ever learned, I'm the most impatient person I think I've ever known (and unfortunately I passed that gene down to Mister Will Clements) Anyways, we need to re~sod our front yard, I've started to get a small part of my backyard ready for veggie & fruit plants, I must finish that and I really need to get my current flower beds in order! None of this will get done this weekend and that is OK! This weekend is dedicated to celebrating this wonderful Easter Holiday! I'm so proud to be a Christian, I LOVE my Lord & Savior! I hope everyone has a great weekend and enjoy our little ones while they are young, I can't wait to watch my boys in the Easter Egg Hunt tomorrow!

Love you All!

Recent pictures!

Here are some pictures from this past weekend. First the boys got BUNKBEDS!!! ( Look at how silly Will always gets in front of the camera... Hilarious!) We LOVE the new beds and I'm so proud of Lukie for being such a big boy now! It was the first time for John to take down the baby bed... it was SO depressing for me, but a new era in our life! I still have no bedding for them and I have not hung anything on the walls... once the room is finished I will be sure to post more pictures! Will claimed the top real fast, which I am glad of because if Luke was on top, he would not be afraid to jump right off! He's definitely our wild child!

As most of our weekends, we try to stay busy so we went to Collierville Saturday afternoon to see trains. That is all Will ever wants to do and I guess I should be happy for that! Luke enjoys it as well. They walk all over and in the trains and we hung around for over an hour, but a real train never came... It's so nice sometimes to just have fun with them and act young again. The excitement that they both have while talking about or playing with trains, it is just wonderful to see things through our kids eyes!!! God is Good!

I can't believe I figured this thing out

I told myself I would never, ever join facebook, myspace, bloggers; anything to do with anyone knowing what I have going on in my life. I thought it was so high school~ish, but the older I get, the more I realize how hard it is to keep in touch with people I love dearly. It's such a sad excuse, I know, but I am proud to announce that I am a member of facebook, myspace and now blogspot~ HA! I LOVE every minute of it and feel that my life is a story and a story that I would love to tell to anyone who wants to listen! I hope you all enjoy checking up on me and my family! As a busy Mommy and Wife with a growing career; I might go awhile without posting something, but I will try my hardest to keep everyone up to date on the latest stories in our lives! Cary and I both are excited to join blogspot... while we are along on this journey called LIFE!!!
